Why it feels different
Rowing both sides together can mask side-to-side imbalances. The GEC-005 separates the arms entirely, each on its own lever, so each side of the back is loaded independently, helping reduce compensation from the stronger side.
The pull travels long: handles start well forward of the torso and finish past the ribs, allowing the lats to reach a more shortened position rather than stopping at a bar.
