Why it feels different
Conventional plate-loaded chest presses lock the arms to a single arc, and the shoulder is asked to follow the machine. Golden Era’s patented dual-linkage system joins a second lever to each arm so the handles travel on a path that changes as you press — wider at the bottom, converging at the top, similar to the natural path of a heavy dumbbell press.
In the stretched position the arms sit wide and low, which places greater emphasis on the chest. Through the middle of the press the path closes, and at lockout the handles finish inside the shoulders where the pectorals reach a shortened position.
Plates hang directly off the linkage — no cam, no cable. Arms move independently, which means a stronger side cannot carry a weaker one.
