Why it feels different
On the GEC-004, chest support reduces the need to stabilize the torso during the row, helping limit hip drive and excess momentum.
The dual-linkage arms pull on a path that widens at the front and closes toward the ribs, which allows greater scapular movement through the pull instead of stopping short at a fixed handle.
Plate-loaded and independent, so a strong side cannot drag a weak one through the set. No cam, no cable — just plates on the linkage.

Four machines.
Conventional plate-loaded machines move on one arc. The body does not.
The dual-linkage system joins a second lever to each arm through a second pivot and a rigid link, so the handle path is wider at the bottom and converges at the top. Plates hang directly off the linkage — no cam, no cable.
